For your convenience, Rasmussen accepts many forms of payment (search for “Forms of Payment” at www.RasBox.com, or directly at http://goo.gl/4AnPR)
Our newest method is through the Intuit Payment Network, which shows up as a link at the bottom of each invoice. Please view the video at http://goo.gl/zfvPq to learn more about the IPN. There is no cost to you when paying an invoice via IPN.
HPBA and manufacturers, including Rasmussen, continue to engage the Department of Energy (DOE) as well as other “interest groups”, such as National Resource Defense Council (NRDC) and American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) to bring sense to the energy conservation rules that affect decorative gas fireplaces enacted by DOE last year.
HPBA filed a lawsuit to protect our rights, but is trying to negotiate a solution rather than litigate. Much of our industry's efforts have been under the umbrella of Privileged Attorney-Client communications, but rest assured that the industry is trying to find an solution amenable to our industry. Another meeting between HPBA, DOE, NRDC and ACEEE will take place in mid-March. Stay tuned …
TRENDS – QR CODES
A Quick Response (QR) code is a two-dimensional code that can be scanned by smartphone cameras to automatically pull up text, photos, videos, music and URLs. These codes have become mobile-friendly ways to point people in the offline space to online resources.
Rasmussen will feature QR codes on our products at the HPBA Expo that will permit smartphone users to view video of burning gas logs and Alterna sets, as well as other information.
While already popular in Japan, consumers in the United States are just now becoming more familiar with QR codes and what to do with them. If you’re unfamiliar with the business potential of QR codes, use this post as a crash course in how to get started.

In order to speed up the resolution of any technical issues you may have with a Rasmussen product, please consider and/or gather the following before contacting Rasmussen.
Our goal is to resolve your issue in one call (or less):
- Enter the main issue into the "search" feature at www.rasbox.com . We may already have a documented solution that you can refer to in our KnowledgeBase. (if it isn't there, please let us know)
- Change the batteries. If that doesn't works, change them again. We have had several instances where new, out-of-the-package batteries were less than fully charged, and kept the product (grill igniter, remote control and EIS) from functioning properly.
- For vent-free sets, clean the air intake holes of the ODS pilot with air-in-a-can (keyboard cleaning air). Refer to http://is.gd/wTBW2I
- Adjust the pilot flame for greater gas flow by turning the pilot adjustment screw on the valve Counter-Clockwise.
- Have the firebox dimensions (front and rear widths, depth and height), gas type (Natural Gas or Propane) and location of gas supply into the firebox (wall or floor and where).
- Have the Model and/or Serial Number. For gas logs, found on the metal plate, on most sets attached to the grate with a chain. For grills, bottom side of drip tray for older grills, top side for newer grills.
- Photos, especially if you cannot find the model or serial number. Clear photos (not fuzzy) that show the complete unit as well as closer views of the issue. Allow us to see what you are seeing. Email to us at info@rasmussen.biz or directly to the service technician.
- For grill ignition issues, the battery type (9-v, AA or AAA) used in the igniter.
Check out our new KnowledgeBase at www.rasbox.com, which is your online resource for:
1) Troubleshooting and product knowledge;
2) Installation manuals;
3) Price lists and policies
4) Other information that furthers our "DIG" goals.
Be sure to complete the Registration at rasbox.com so you can see items not visible to the general public (like net prices, pricing guides and policies).
*Note: After filling out registration and clicking link in confirmation email, you won't be able to login yet. Don't worry, you've done everything right up to this point. On our end, we have to 'approve' your account. You will get an email informing you when this has happened.
